About the project
Comprehensive creative direction for La Lá — a project where humor and tragedy deliberately coexist.
Marilina wrote a playful, almost TikTok-like song as a conscious attempt to avoid speaking about darker experiences.
The irony is embedded in the lyrics, and we chose to bring that contrast to life visually.
The concept draws from the childlike world of puppet shows — reimagined with tragic humor and an adult undertone.
Colorful, naive aesthetics become a distorted mirror of repression and self-irony.
The project included directing the music video (watch the full video on YouTube) and designing the single’s cover art, both conceived as one cohesive visual statement.

About the artist
Marilina Bertoldi is a defining voice in contemporary Argentine rock.
Her emergence marked a turning point — she became the first openly lesbian artist to win the Gardel de Oro, Argentina’s highest music award, solidifying her place as a feminist icon and generational reference.
Her work fuses raw stage power with lyrical sensitivity, challenging boundaries of genre, gender, and identity.
Marilina reshapes rock itself — turning it into body, desire, reflection, and play.
In La Lá, she embraces irony as self-preservation: a bright surface covering deep emotional layers.
Collaborating with her meant working alongside an artist who doesn’t just make music — she redefines what it means to live through it.
